SOTA Volunteers at The Stewpot Food Pantry During DreamHack: Gaming for Good, Giving Back to Dallas
At SOTA, we believe our mission extends far beyond the screen. That’s why, even in the heart of DreamHack Dallas—one of the world’s largest gaming festivals—our team made it a priority to give back to the local community. On a busy weekend filled with esports action, we traded controllers for compassion and stepped up to support The Stewpot Food Pantry in downtown Dallas.
Serving Over 120 Neighbors
Our SOTA crew joined hands with The Stewpot staff to help provide food, essentials, and a sense of hope to over 120 neighbors facing hunger and hardship. From sorting and organizing fresh produce to preparing care packages, every team member brought the same energy and teamwork we’re known for in the gaming world. We worked side-by-side with other volunteers, learning the stories of those we served and connecting with a community that inspires us to stay on the attack—both in-game and in life.
More Than Just a Game
Volunteering at The Stewpot reminded us why SOTA exists: to use the power of gaming and esports to make a real, positive impact. Our time at the pantry wasn’t just about lending a hand—it was about showing up, building relationships, and demonstrating that the esports community stands for more than competition. We’re proud to support organizations like The Stewpot, who work tirelessly year-round to uplift Dallas residents in need.
Continuing Our Mission
Whether we’re hosting tournaments, streaming for charity, or volunteering at local shelters, SOTA remains dedicated to gaming with a purpose. We’re grateful for the chance to serve, humbled by the resilience of our Dallas neighbors, and energized to keep making a difference wherever our mission takes us next.
Thank you to The Stewpot for welcoming us and to everyone who helped make this event a success. Together, we’re proving that the spirit of esports is strongest when we lift each other up—one game, one act of kindness, one community at a time.
