SOTA Volunteers at the Atlanta Community Food Bank During DreamHack ATL: Gaming for Good, Giving Back to Atlanta

At SOTA, our work goes beyond the arena and the stream. During a packed DreamHack ATL weekend, our team carved out time to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB)—because the real W is community. Controllers down, gloves on, we showed up to serve.

Packing 11,000+ Pounds, Providing 9,000+ Meals

Together with ACFB staff and local volunteers, we helped sort, pack, and move more than 11,000 pounds of food—providing over 9,000 meals for families across the Atlanta area. From forming efficient assembly lines to quality-checking boxes and sealing shipments, the same teamwork we bring to esports powered a day of real-world impact. Every box represented a household feeling seen, supported, and ready for the week ahead.

More Than Matches—It’s Our Mission

This activation reflects who we are: a nonprofit gaming organization using esports as a force for good. Serving at ACFB reminded us that the spirit of competition is strongest when we lift others up. We listened, learned, and connected with a community that’s resilient and inspiring—proof that gaming culture can be a catalyst for hope, not just hype.

The Work Continues

Whether we’re hosting tournaments, streaming for charity, or rolling up our sleeves at food banks and shelters, SOTA is committed to gaming with a purpose. Huge thanks to the Atlanta Community Food Bank for welcoming us, and to every volunteer who put in the reps to make this possible. We’re leaving Atlanta energized—and ready to keep pressing forward wherever the mission leads next.

Together, we’re proving that the esports community is built for more than wins on a scoreboard—it’s built for impact, one act of service at a time.
